Find a property

Check whether a UK home has a Propvio passport — its maintenance record, including jobs confirmed by verified tradespeople, tied permanently to the property rather than the person selling it.

Search an address

Enter a UK address or postcode to see whether the home has a Propvio passport.

View the home's history

See its logged jobs and certificates, including jobs confirmed by the verified tradespeople who did them.

Request access if private

Passports are private unless the owner makes them discoverable. If it's private, you can ask the owner for access.

  • Jobs confirmed by the tradesperson

Work the tradesperson who did it has confirmed from their own Propvio account. Each one names a tradesperson whose identity and accreditation Propvio has checked.

  • Homeowner-reported entries

Work the owner has logged themselves, such as DIY or jobs from before the home joined Propvio. These are labelled as homeowner-reported, so you can tell them apart.

  • Certificates and their status

Gas safety records, EICRs, EPCs, guarantees and other documents, with expiry dates shown so you can see what is current and what has lapsed.

  • A Trust Score out of 100

A summary made up of verified jobs (up to 40 points), certificate status (up to 30) and tradesperson ratings (up to 30). Open the passport to see the history behind it.

Most UK homes don’t have a Propvio passport yet. You can still ask the seller or agent for receipts, guarantees and certificates, check the TA6 property information form, and look for signs of neglect when you view. These guides cover what to ask for:

Can I check the maintenance history of any UK house?

Only homes whose owners have set up a Propvio passport. Searching tells you whether one exists. Most UK homes don't have one yet, so if yours isn't found, ask the seller or agent what records they hold.

Is it free to view a property passport?

Yes. A public passport can be viewed by anyone with the link, with no account needed. If a passport is private, you can request access and the owner decides whether to share it.

Why is a passport private?

Passports are private by default. Owners choose whether anyone who finds theirs in search can open it, or share it directly with a buyer or agent using a link they can revoke at any time.

Can a seller remove bad entries before selling?

No. The record stays with the property when it changes hands, and logged jobs can't be deleted by the owner. If an owner disagrees with an entry, it's marked as disputed, with their reason, rather than hidden.

Does Propvio check that the work was done properly?

No. Propvio verifies the tradesperson's identity and accreditation, not the quality or accuracy of each job description. For a judgement on the work itself, use a surveyor and check the relevant certificates.
